We recently held the latest in our series of international dinners, during which we share insight on the best way to facilitate international growth. The discussion was led by the heads of Inflexion’s international teams based in Bangalore, Sao Paolo and Shanghai who were able to share their experiences of how Inflexion supports its portfolio companies with their growth in those regions. It was attended by founders and CEOs of high growth, ambitious companies from various sectors.
The discussion for the dinner focused on the myriad of challenges that companies of all sizes face when trying to expand internationally. As ever, the question of growth organically or through acquisitions encouraged a lively debate, where the importance of local market knowledge (and the problems that have occurred when acquiring a local business without a local network) was recognised. There was significant discussion around where to expand, which was facilitated by our international team.
