Outdoor Plus was founded in 2006 and today provides over 40 premium, large format digital advertising screens and banners in 27 locations, including iconic London sites such as the Hyde Park Underpass, the Euston Underpass and the Two Towers on Hammersmith Flyover. The company has a contract with TfL to bring digital advertising screens to 25 road underpasses across London. Reaching audiences of over 77 million every fortnight, Outdoor Plus has a 30% share of London’s Roadside digital out-of-home market, and counts Google, Samsung, TfL and Jaguar among its clients.
The Inflexion difference
Outdoor Plus weren’t looking for an investor, but were convinced by the prospect of a Partnership Capital deal to accelerate new site development. Additionally, our extensive TMT experience through our investments in Group IMD, Mobica, and CloserStill Media, among others, made us a natural partner for Outdoor Plus. During our partnership, 12 new premium digital sites opened with TfL and 30 existing sites were converted to digital. We recruited a high-calibre Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, and supported management to build a salesforce of six people focused on generating new revenue streams. Trade buyer Global Radio purchased Outdoor Plus in August 2018 as part of a buy-and-build strategy.
Inflexion was an extremely supportive partner as we grew and digitalised our portfolio and strengthened the business more generally.
