A qualified Chartered Accountant, Philip holds a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham. He started his career as a manager in PwC’s corporate finance team, where he specialised in mid-market consumer and leisure transactions. From there he moved to Gleacher Shacklock, a corporate finance boutique, before joining Inflexion in 2010.

In 2009, Philip volunteered for the Clinton Foundation. Based in Kenya, he worked with a number of African governments and NGOs to successfully reduce the cost of malaria treatment, increasing access across 12 countries.

From the outset I was attracted to Inflexion by their high-calibre people, entrepreneurial spirit and strong investment performance. The opportunity to meet and partner with such a range of impressive businesses was also hugely appealing. Philip Edmans, Investment Director
