Reed & Mackay

The company

Reed & Mackay is a premium corporate travel management company delivering a personalised service through cutting edge technology. Its strategic travel management services focus on law firms, insurance companies, finance houses and the energy sector. Reed & Mackay also provides an industry leading Event Management service. The London headquartered company has recently opened offices in Scotland, the US and the UAE. In the year to March 2016 Reed & Mackay handled nearly 600,000 client travel transactions.

Growth strategy

Reed & Mackay’s management team was eager to further grow market share and expand its international operations. Fred Stratford, Reed & Mackay’s CEO, and his ambitious team sought an experienced partner with deep travel sector experience to help.

The Inflexion difference

Inflexion is ideally placed to support Reed & Mackay on its next stage of growth. It is deeply experienced in supporting the expansion of both consumer and corporate travel companies, with current and previous investments in consumer travel brands, On the Beach and luxury operator Scott Dunn, together with corporate travel specialist, Griffin Global Group, all of which are highly successful, multinational operators.

Inflexion will support Reed & Mackay’s team as they further drive organic growth, both in the UK and selected international markets, and seek targeted acquisitions to support expansion of the company’s international footprint.

As part of Inflexion’s investment, it has introduced Gary Spellins as Chairman; Gary is also Chair of Scott Dunn. By sitting on the board of both companies, Gary will enable sharing of knowledge and insight across both businesses for mutual operational benefit. In addition, Inflexion’s Value Enhancement team is already working with the management team to support further development of the company’s leading technology infrastructure.
