Xtrac was founded in 1984 and has become the world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance transmissions for the motorsport and hypercar industry. The business supplies most of the world’s top motorsport teams in both two- and four-wheeled formulae across the globe, including NASCAR and Formula 1™. Xtrac is also at the forefront of hybrid and electric vehicles developments, supplying hybrid transmissions to technology leading companies in the hypercar market and electric transmissions to the Formula E racing series.

Inflexion’s specialist engineering experience, gleaned through its investments in Avantus and Aspen Pumps, make it well placed to help Xtrac management drive sustainable growth. Our investment is supporting the extension of Xtrac’s factory, which was opened in November 2018 by former Prime Minister, Theresa May, the purchase of additional machinery and the growth of Xtrac’s team of technical engineers to enable the business to meet rising customer demand. We are also deepening the business’ presence in the US and Europe.
