Inflexion partnered with Auctus Industries to back the secondary buyout of Shimtech in 2015, since renamed Avantus.  

California-based Avantus is a global leader in C-Class components for the aerospace and defence industry, having evolved since Inflexion’s investment to manufacture a broader range of aerospace related products. Avantus manufactures a wide range of aerospace C-class components such as fasteners, brackets, laminated and solid shims, detailed parts and assemblies and clips. 

Value acceleration 

Inflexion’s investment has enabled Avantus to capitalise on global growth in the aerospace sector by growing its share of wallet with existing customers and acquiring new ones through geographic spread.  

Inflexion has supported the company in completing several important operational improvement projects including a factory move and installation of a new ERP system. An experienced Chair was introduced from Inflexion’s network and Avantus has grown through M&A including the acquisitions of Fastener Technology Corporation, Fastener Innovation Technology Inc and California Screw Products Corporation, which expanded the product range.
