Inflexion, a leading European mid market private equity firm, is pleased to announce that it has made a majority investment in Ranger Fire and Security (“Ranger”), a leading fire and security services platform operating across the UK and Ireland. The investment is being made by Inflexion Enterprise Fund VI, Inflexion’s lower mid-market private equity fund.
Ranger is a leading fire and security services provider, offering a one-stop solution to businesses, charities and public sector organisations. The company brings together high-performing local businesses on a single national platform, combining their established and trusted reputations for first-class customer services with the scale, systems and reach of a national group. To date, Ranger has acquired 25 businesses across the UK and Ireland, has over 500 employees and revenues of more than £75 million.
Inflexion brings significant industry experience with its investment in Noventis Safety, a global group of companies dedicated to designing and delivering advanced test and measurement solutions for the fire protection industry, and more recently Marioff, a global leader in high-pressure water mist fire suppression.
The investment will enable Ranger to continue acquiring high-performing local businesses, a core part of its growth strategy, and to support the scaling of its operations to deliver best-in-class service. Together these measures will help advance Ranger’s ambition to build a truly national fire and security services platform, with the potential to expand into continental Europe in the future.
As part of the transaction, existing investors Hyperion Equity Partners will make a substantial re-investment alongside Inflexion to support Ranger’s long-term strategic goals.
