Our people have built the firm Inflexion is today, a leading European mid-market private equity firm. Our track record and reputation attract exceptional talent. They stay for our culture of collaboration, community, shared success and restless ambition, where everyone is united by a purpose to make great businesses even better.
Welcoming our largest cohort yet
We recently held our annual induction to welcome this year’s new team members, our largest cohort so far. New joiners span investment, origination, value acceleration, marketing, finance, legal and support, and are based across our European offices and our recently opened New York office.
“Our Insight Days are just the start of our new joiners’ careers at Inflexion. We are committed to nurturing talent and so we invest substantially in coaching, training, development and mentorship. This real support for each professional, combined with our down‑to‑earth approach, is why people choose to build their careers at Inflexion,” explains Kirsty Tikerpae, Partner at Inflexion
A tailored induction that starts before you arrive
Even before a new joiner’s first day, there is regular communication from HR, IT and their manager. Once they join, a bespoke programme over several weeks blends formal overviews and training with social events to build connections across teams and offices.
Partner and Head of Capital Markets Philip Edmans joined Inflexion in 2010. Following ten years focused on investments and fundraisings, he now leads the firm’s Capital Markets team and is a member of the Investment Committee. Speaking at the Insight Day, he noted, “Inflexion encourages you to take responsibility and back your judgement from an early stage. That trust and exposure create an environment where you can develop quickly and build a career that continually challenges and rewards you.”
Shared learning across teams and offices
Every new joiner attends two Insight Days, hosted by senior professionals from across Inflexion. Thirty members of the team introduced their areas of expertise and shared insights into how results are delivered across the firm. Sessions covered:
- An overview of our three dedicated fund strategies, which enable investments to be tailored to the unique needs and ambitions of entrepreneurs, business owners and management teams across the European mid-market.
- How opportunities are originated through Inflexion’s deep sector expertise and regional presence to build trusted relationships with business owners, becoming a partner of choice to help them achieve their ambitions.
- How the Value Acceleration Team works with portfolio companies to identify and implement transformational projects across six value creation strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
- How Inflexion’s Investor Relations team maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective investors, and how they have achieved their successful record of fundraising.
- An overview of the Legal, Finance and Marketing functions and how they play a critical role in the firm’s success.
Maurits Hilverda, an investment executive in the Benelux investment team based in Amsterdam, joined Inflexion after five years with another private equity firm. Following the Insight Days, he said, “Coming from another PE firm, I’ve been impressed by Inflexion’s resources and capabilities. The structured onboarding sets you up to contribute from day one, and the open culture makes it easy and enjoyable to learn quickly from colleagues.”
Lucinda White joined as Tax Counsel after more than ten years at a major global law firm. Describing her experience of joining Inflexion, she commented, "From the moment I started the interview process, it was clear that Inflexion would be a dynamic and exciting place to work. The induction felt structured, thoughtful and very friendly."
The Insight Days matched her interview experience.
