As an Investment Director, Philip’s responsibilities include leading the origination and execution of new investments within the lower mid-market. He also has a firm-wide focus on the consumer and financial services sectors.
Philip has been involved in our investments in Xtrac, Lane Clark & Peacock LLP, Group IMD, Reed & Mackay, Kynetec, Scott Dunn, Glide and Vivona Brands; as well as the investments and realisations of CTC Aviation and Marston. In addition, he worked on the dual fundraising of Enterprise Fund IV and Supplemental Fund IV in 2016, as well as the raising of the 2012 Co-Investment Fund.
Philip started his career as a manager in PwC’s corporate finance team. From there he moved to Gleacher Shacklock, a corporate finance boutique, before joining Inflexion in 2010.
In 2009, Philip volunteered for the Clinton Foundation. Based in Kenya, he worked with a number of African governments and NGOs to successfully reduce the cost of malaria treatment, increasing access across 12 countries.
Phillip is an enthusiastic, if not competent, skier and also enjoys travel, particularly in East Africa. He holds a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.
