Inflexion backed the launch of a new regional insurance broking platform (“AIH”) with a cornerstone investment in Ascend Broking Group (“Ascend”).

Ascend is an Essex-based broker focused on commercial lines, healthcare and value add risk management solutions. Founded in 2017, Ascend has a customer and talent first proposition and is now a 30-strong team that has won multiple awards. 

Value acceleration 

Working alongside Ascend’s founder and Group Managing Director Matthew Collins, Inflexion will help AIH build a scalable hub-and-spoke platform. The group will have shared central infrastructure and capabilities that will reduce operational burden, enhance client service and support sustainable long-term growth.

Inflexion’s investment will facilitate the acquisition of other regional hubs and support those businesses, including Ascend, with their own inorganic growth and broader talent acquisition strategies.
