About 

Upperton Pharma Solutions is a UK-based specialist contract development and manufacturing organisation. The business has doubled its headcount and boosted its manufacturing capacity within 18 months of the Inflexion investment. 

Upperton’s particle engineering expertise has enabled it to develop a wide range of finished dosage formats for its pharmaceutical clients, typically during early phase clinical trials. It is known for its spray drying expertise, a particle engineering technology used to ensure targeted delivery of drugs to the lungs and nasal cavity or provide solutions to pharma clients who have challenges with poorly soluble molecules. 

The business received the Kings Award for International Trade in 2023. 

Value acceleration 

Inflexion is supporting Upperton to expand its scale and capabilities, with investment into a new purpose built 50k sq. Ft. facility increasing manufacturing space ten-fold and analytical space four-fold. This is allowing Upperton to support drug manufacture into later stages of clinical trials and niche-scale commercial manufacturing. We have supported additions to the c-suite and are also evaluating M&A targets with strong strategic rationale.
