John co-founded Inflexion with Simon Turner in 1999. Together with Simon, he has built Inflexion into one of Europe’s leading private equity firms addressing the full spectrum of the mid-market.
John has enjoyed meeting entrepreneurs throughout his career. He still enjoys learning about businesses, and comparing notes on the challenges of maintaining growth.
John’s eagerness to see people make the most of themselves isn’t limited to backing management teams to maximise their potential; he is equally keen to support young people. As such, he is a longstanding supporter of a number of youth focused charities. Together with Simon, they established the Inflexion Foundation, with the purpose of enhancing the lives of disadvantaged young people and protecting the environment.
A keen skier and triathlete, John also enjoys travelling, with a particular love of trekking and climbing as well as camping under the stars in the Australian Outback.
John is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Management Science from Imperial College London.
