Scott Dunn expands into US with sales office in San Diego

Inflexion is pleased to announce that our portfolio company, award-winning UK luxury tour operator Scott Dunn, is to expand into the United States with a new sales office in San Diego, California. The new office will enable guests originating in North America to take advantage of Scott Dunn’s renowned service, as well as allowing for extended opening hours for guests calling from all around the world.

Scott Dunn is now able to accelerate its growth in North America by acquiring a small specialist luxury travel company, which it is immediately supplementing with skilled destination experts from its UK base to bring its initial US based headcount to twelve. The US business will be led by John Spence, who will become Scott Dunn’s new President, North America, reporting to Scott Dunn CEO Simon Russell. Inflexion invested in Scott Dunn in December 2014. In 2015, the company’s group turnover increased by 23% and non-UK turnover increased by 39%.

Our presence in the US is also a key part of adapting to when guests want to speak to us and will mean we can deliver our world-class service beyond normal UK working hours.”
