On Saturday 12th September, a team of 28 Inflexion employees, together with participants from eight Inflexion portfolio companies - PMC, Aspen Pumps, Aosphere, Chambers, CNX, DSS+, Giacom and Rosemont - completed the inaugural Impetus Relay. Supported by donations from across Inflexion’s portfolio £100,000 was raised which will be matched by the Inflexion Foundation, taking the total to £200,000. Over the past ten years, Inflexion has raised more than £2.1m for Impetus through its annual fundraising events.
The Relay is a new endurance fundraising event based on a four-hour corporate team challenge on Clapham Common. The money raised will support charities and social enterprises with a track record of helping young people, providing management support, pro bono expertise and funding to help them scale the services they provide.
The relay brings our team, portfolio companies and network together behind a cause we care about. Every pound raised is matched by the Inflexion Foundation, doubling the impact. We would encourage other private equity firms to do the same. My thanks go to everyone who took part.
Inflexion and their portfolio have shown up for Impetus year after year, and the £200,000 raised through this year’s relay is a significant contribution. It funds the work we do to give more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the support they need thrive in school, pass their exams and access sustained employment for a fulfilling life.
