The Inflexion Foundation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity, that provides practical help that makes an immediate difference to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people, with a grant of £500,000 over the next three years.

Over 600,000 children with disabilities are living in poverty in the UK today, and Variety provides practical support that makes an immediate difference, supporting children to reach their full potential. The charity has been providing support in the UK for over 75 years, and has raised over £300 million, providing Sunshine Coaches, wheelchairs as well as thousands of grants to individual children and life-changing support for children’s hospitals and youth organisations.

The Inflexion’s Foundation’s grant will support an additional 1,000 children by providing five Sunshine Coaches across the UK and directly support children by providing life-changing disability equipment. The partnership will help Variety to focus on three critical long-term outcomes for disabled and disadvantaged children; improving health and independence, expanding educational outcomes, employability and life skills, and creating greater social connections.

This is the fourth grant the Foundation has announced recently, following partnerships with Impetus, the Kinetic Foundation and The Sutton Trust.

We are proud to support Variety and their vital work improving the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK. This partnership reflects the Inflexion Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact, and we are honoured to help expand Variety’s reach.
