The Inflexion Foundation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a three-year partnership with Stiftung Lesen, which promotes reading skills and media literacy, through a grant of €170,000.

Stiftung Lesen’s vision is that all people can read. As an advocate for reading and media competency in Germany, Stiftung Lesen works to ensure every child has access to education, develops essential reading and media skills, and discovers the joy of reading. To build these skills and raise literacy levels, the charity offers accessible programmes for children aged up to 12 and their families, regardless of financial, cultural, or social background.

We are proud to support Place2Be, whose pioneering whole school approach has transformed children and young people’s mental health support for more than three decades. This grant will enable more young people to access timely, high quality care.
Martin Preuss Partner, Inflexion
Reading is a key skill for every aspect of life – from actively improving every child’s life to future-oriented societies. In reading clubs at schools, children and young people can explore the joy of reading without the pressure of grades and guided by their own interests. To make this possible, we need sufficient resources and strong partners like the Inflexion Foundation, whose support makes a valuable contribution to reading promotion across Germany.
