The Inflexion Foundation is pleased to announce that it has published its first Annual Review.

Last year saw an extraordinary number of people fall on hard times, which has made charitable giving more critical than ever. The urgency of the crisis meant The Inflexion Foundation donated more to charitable organisations in 2020 than ever before, with £2.6 million donated across ten charities.

The Inflexion Foundation (“The Foundation”) has supported charities focused on disadvantaged young people for a number of years, including The Roundhouse and Impetus. Last year, The Foundation extended its support to organisations that have most directly addressed the hardship facing so many as the pandemic took hold, with major donations to the newly launched National Emergencies Trust and Turn2us.

In addition to direct financial donations, The Foundation supported certain charitable initiatives of Inflexion’s portfolio companies, and matched fundraising undertaken by Inflexion employees themselves. The Inflexion team also provided pro bono support to select charities in 2020 and continue to actively support a number of organisations.

The Inflexion Foundation was launched in 2018 to formalise the charitable giving of Inflexion Private Equity. In an industry first, 1% of the profits of Inflexion’s funds from 2018 onwards will be donated to The Foundation.

As backers of ambitious management teams for over 20 years, we know that a lot of hard work and a little luck are important determinants of success. Much of what we have achieved has been down to the support of others, and so we know just how valuable that support can be. We have long felt a duty to provide support where and when it is needed, and this need has never been greater than last year. We look forward to continuing to make a meaningful difference to those in need.
