Inflexion Private Equity Partners LLP (“Inflexion”) is delighted to announce that The Inflexion Foundation has made a significant commitment to IntoUniversity, an education charity that inspires young people to achieve. The Inflexion Foundation has committed a grant of £200,000 per annum over each of the next three years to support the charity’s vital work, while the Inflexion team will also engage in a number of pro bono activities.

IntoUniversity is an award-winning education charity which was founded as a homework club in North Kensington in 2002. Today it operates 31 local centres nationally which provide academic support, mentoring and aspiration-raising programmes to help students from low socio-economic backgrounds achieve their ambitions. At each local centre, IntoUniversity offers an innovative programme that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to attain either a university place or another chosen aspiration. In 2020, 71% of IntoUniversity’s school leavers gained a university place compared with 26% of young people from similar backgrounds nationally. With the key support of strategic partnerships such as ours, IntoUniversity are able to have this impact in a cost-effective way.

Prior to announcing this formal partnership, Inflexion has supported IntoUniversity through workshops for students at its offices and through corporate mentoring. IntoUniversity is one of the charities backed by Impetus, an organisation Inflexion has been a longstanding supporter of.

Charitable giving has long been a focus at Inflexion, as we are aware of the positive impact that support through the right channels can bring. We have been very inspired by the excellent work we’ve seen IntoUniversity achieve and so are delighted to be able to back their future efforts with funding and further pro bono work.
