Inflexion Private Equity Partners LLP (“Inflexion”) today announces that The Inflexion Foundation is supporting the National Tutoring Programme (“NTP”) online pilot which has been launched as part of the Government’s plans to support pupils in the next academic year and beyond.
Created through a collaboration between the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), Sutton Trust, Impetus and Nesta, with support from the Department for Education, the NTP will provide catch-up support to primary and secondary school pupils who have missed out on learning during school closures.
Earlier this month, The Inflexion Foundation supported the pilots of four different models of online tuition. The findings from these pilots will feed into the National Tutoring Programme.
The Inflexion Foundation has already provided support to those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. In April 2020, The Inflexion Foundation announced that it was donating £2.5m to charities providing support at this time, including £2 million to the National Emergencies Trust and £250,000 to Turn2Us.
The Inflexion Foundation was launched in 2018 and in an industry first will receive distributions equal to 1% of future Inflexion funds’ profits.
Inflexion and our portfolio companies have been committed to supporting those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Charitable giving has long been a central part of Inflexion’s ethos and we are pleased that our Foundation has been able to support The National Tutoring Programme. We look forward to continuing to provide further support, not just from a financial perspective, but also providing our time, experience and know how from across the organisation.
We have seen first-hand the power of tutoring to help young people achieve their potential. We are proud to be part of this collective effort to get high-quality tutoring to those who need it most and would like to thank The Inflexion Foundation for their support.
