Inflexion makes senior hire

Inflexion Private Equity, the mid-market private equity investor, today announces the addition of Gareth Healy as Investment Director to complement the existing team.

Gareth joins Inflexion from Close Brothers where he was a Managing Director focused on advising the private equity community. He acted both as Head of the IPO and Management Advisory practice and co-head of the Technology Team. Prior to his three years with Close Brothers, Gareth spent seven years at UBS, acting as a Director in the European Technology Team and the UK Mid-Market Team. He originally trained as an accountant with Price Waterhouse.

During Gareth’s time at Close Brothers he founded a highly successful IPO advisory practice for management and private equity investors, advising, inter alia, Saga, Gala and Tragus on their dual track IPO/sales. He also advised management in the two recent NCP buyouts.

Gareth will be working in the London office where he will add further depth to the investment team in leading transactions as well as being heavily involved in the generation of new deals via key intermediaries as well as initiating direct approaches. The announcement of his appointment comes at the same time as that of Malcolm Coffin, Investment Executive in the Manchester office.

Simon Turner, Managing Partner said: “We are delighted to welcome Gareth into the Inflexion team. His appointment brings further depth to our UK-wide origination and execution activities and I am sure his substantial experience will be invaluable in Inflexion’s continuing success in the mid-market arena.”
