Inflexion appoints chairman for Red Commerce

Inflexion is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Vaughan as Chairman of Red Commerce Ltd.

Andrew has excellent experience and understanding of working within private equity-backed businesses. Former appointments include Enviros group, WCI Group and the highly successful ClarityBlue, recently sold to Experian. Prior to these roles he was Chief Executive of Workplace Technologies which he led through MBO, flotation, and finally sale.

As Chairman of Red, Andrew will be working with the existing management team headed by Tom Hooper, CEO and Gary Heneage as COO. Red is currently growing strongly, reflected by its 17th place in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 awards published earlier this year. Andrew’s appointment is a part of Inflexion’s near term strategy to enhance this growth.

Red Commerce is an IT resourcing specialist across Europe and was acquired by Inflexion in December 2005 in a £15m MBO from its 2003 Buyout Fund.

Simon Turner, Managing Partner of Inflexion commented, “Andrew’s appointment is an exciting step forward for Red, and is consistent with Inflexion’s hands-on approach in providing strategic and financial support to our portfolio companies in order to drive profitability whilst maintaining sensitivity to the business’ culture and inherent needs.”

Tom Hooper, CEO of Red Commerce Limited said, “We are looking forward to working with Andrew in driving the company to the next level and gaining from his experience to continue to increase sales. Andrew will be a good complement to the existing successful team”.
