John, as the co-founder of Inflexion with Simon Turner, jointly chairs Inflexion’s Investment Committee and sits on the Boards of Inflexion portfolio companies, FDM Group, Parasol and Pims Group, as well as having been integrally involved in other buyouts such as ICS, SMD and Viking Moorings.
Before John established Inflexion as a spin-out from Daiwa Europe’s Private Equity group, he worked alongside Jon Moulton at Apax Partners, where he was a founder member of the buyout group. Whilst at Apax, John was involved in both their first public to private transaction, and the first high-yield recapitalisation of a private equity investment in Europe.
John is a chartered accountant, holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Management Science from Imperial College London and an Associateship of the Royal College of Science. Married with three children, John enjoys shooting, sailing and has competed in a number of triathlons.
