Charles joined Inflexion in 2001 and currently oversees Inflexion’s investments in Aspen Pumps and Pims Group. Previously, he was non-executive Director of HKI, Ilchester Cheese Company and Ster Century Cinemas. Charles is also a member of the Investment Committee.
As the elder statesman of the team, Charles has worked on several iconic deals during his impressive career, not least Matalan and Massey Ferguson, though his career actually began as a Production Engineer at Dowty Ltd and Production Manager at Mardon Packaging International, before moving to Granville Baird Private Equity in 1987.
Charles holds a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from Southampton University and an MBA from the Cranfield Business School. He is married with two children; when he is not ferrying them around, he is a keen golfer and sailor.
